Photo Shoot

After a few hectic days of visiting busy shrines, we had a pretty mellow day. We started off with a few video games...

Ayaka and her mom arranged for a photo shoot for the boys. They were to be dressed up in kimonos for portraits! How would we get two crazy boys to wear intricate costumes and sit still (and not whallop each other)?

Arriving...

And we will have to wait for Ayaka's blog to get the results...I was not allowed to take pictures. Because Ayaka's camera is video, she was able to take whatever she wanted. Funny, huh? Especially as her HD video camera takes much better still pictures than my standard one!

Then a little more grocery shopping...

After that we did a little shopping at a mall and then went to an Italian restaurant. The food was great. A little different from what you get in the states. Some dishes were more what we get and some were more Japanese. We had a pasta with chicken and a creamy tomato sauce. Pretty traditional. We also had spaghetti with seaweed, taro balls, Japanese mushrooms and bacon. Pretty Japanese! Both were yummy. We also had a pretty standard pizza and then one with bacon that was supposed to have a raw egg on top. Since Ayaka knows that I can't handle the raw egg dishes, she was nice enough to order it with cooked egg. Ben loved everything and ate a ton!
